What we do
Mission
We are all women activists engaged in changing the patriarchal capitalist model by using education as our weapon of change. We are a group of experienced facilitatresses in Matriarchal, Feminist, Ecological, Architectural, Social and Spiritual Studies. We teach the knowledge and skills that we need as Women to design truly Regenerative Matriarchal Communities, which thrive within planetary boundaries, empowering each other as a collective for the New Story of The Great Turning to happen.
We create embodied women’s think-tank that designs better communities with their empowerment as a collective, egalitarian, peaceful unified collective force of change. A space for embodied research and transmission of women’s culture and soul. A place of interchange with the local community in order to create a more mother-caring society. This process of women’s introspection, sharing and healing in a safe, delicate space, we hope will engender, once back in the everyday life of their community, a sacred social empowerment in order to facilitate inclusion of every gender, race, nationality with no blame or shame.
The project programs revolves around:
Life and Nature Cycles,
the sacredness of Mother Earth Dimensions,
and the Spiral Work of The Work that Reconnects.
Combined with the Dimensions of the Ecovillage Design Education Program: Cultural/Spiritual, Ecological, Economic and Social, it clarifies that the systemic holistic ecological vision we are following in our programs is the same one followed by many Indigenous Cultures of which many are matriarchal ones.
In this Meta frame, women should become aware of their powers and their history in order to create within themselves, as a group and in society a new wisdom in compassion – as maiden, mothers and crones, in service to climate emergencies. The New Story we want for all.
We wish to raise awareness and create a new consciousness, by offering a systemic approach unifying thought, feeling, spirituality and action to address the world’s problems. We embrace a holistic worldview, seeing ourselves as part of Nature and Mother Earth in her bio-complexity, challenging the individualist narrative of western culture. Developing a worldview integrating humans and Nature is a crucial aspect for meeting ecological emergencies.
By offering a space of healing, learning and connecting, introducing knowledge and skills, as well as creating consciousness, we wish to empower women to contribute to the co-creation of an alive, ecological, egalitarian, and peaceful society on Earth, a matriarchal one.
By bringing together experience in ecovillage design, matriarchal societies, feminine wisdom, activism, community building and healing circles, we design new formats of education – responding to the worldwide need of mutual maternal values support and empowerment.
OUR PATH
VISION
We VISION a Matriarchal Future starting our transition by creating “Islands of Sanity” around the world!

Our vision has a strong relationship with reality and we use it as a guideline for daily and future actions.
The Matriacha Manifesta and the Principles of the Vision Statement for a Sustainable Earth by Global Ecovillage Network are some of our guidelines.
ORIGINS
It all started when I became an activist in Extinction Rebellion. Then I discovered that I could combine activism with spirituality and politics. At Schumacher College, I designed my dream.
From that time, I started reading books like The Chalice and the Blade or When God Was a Woman. At Schumacher College my life interconnected with the energy of the Universe. The Goddess was calling and facilitation exercises like Dragon Dreaming, journaling and painting my dreams channeled and created the reality.
- Sabina Santovetti, Founder of Matriculture School and SHE-EDE Program
With The Work That Reconnects, my eco-sophy was delineated. With Gaia Education, I had a structure to work with.
With the discovery of Modern Matriarchal Studies, I started to interconnect all the stories, and then more stories came toward me: Permaculture, Transition Town, Maternal Gift Economy, channeling Goddesses, Matriarchal Mystery Festivals, and more will come.
In 2024 Feminine Wisdom MatriCulture School opened her door to women.
Our demands for a Matriarchal World to become true
We have a shared vision of change:
Creating a MATRIARCHAL world that is fit for WOMEN, CHILDREN AND EVERYONE for generations to come.
We set our mission on what is necessary: creating matriarchal islands of sanity around the world.
We choose Matriarchy as our political aim versus Patriarchy.
We practice consensus, of utmost importance for a truly egalitarian society. Matters are decided upon by women and men in the clan house.
We demand a mother-centered society based on maternal values where grandmothers are heard. A society based on needs not on power. Motherhood is transformed into a cultural model.
We create New Affinity Communities formed based on a spiritual-philosophical relationship between members. “Siblings by choice” forming symbolic clans.
We need a regenerative culture based on mutual care and love.
We value reflection, learning, and regeneration following Nature’s cycles.
We accept everyone and every part of everyone, while ensuring safe spaces.
We actively mitigate power and break hierarchies.
We avoid blaming and shaming.
We are a nonviolent network and believe in peace.
We are based on autonomy and decentralization.
“The path to an egalitarian society has to combine matriarchal spirituality with politics, and economy to create another kind of society”
— Heide Göttner-Abendroth
